Diane Danhieux
Diane is a teacher, ballet mistress and choreographer for NEWDO. She was the director of Terpsichore School of Dance in Iowa City as well as director of the Talented and Gifted Young Dancer Program at the University of Iowa. She worked with the Joffery Ballet and Washington Ballet. She performed with Wisconsin Ballet Theatre and was a guest dancer with numerous East Coast companies.

Angie is a teacher, choreographer and outreach coordinator for NEWDO. She is a collector of stories, creating both live performances and video collections that include dance, poetry and sound as a means to curate from the chaos the memories and the extraordinary in everyday life. She has been teaching and choreographing for 20 years, acro
Angie is a teacher, choreographer and outreach coordinator for NEWDO. She is a collector of stories, creating both live performances and video collections that include dance, poetry and sound as a means to curate from the chaos the memories and the extraordinary in everyday life. She has been teaching and choreographing for 20 years, across the US, Paris and Berlin, and her happiest moments are in the studio experiencing the joy of movement. Her classes combine Horton and Graham techniques with concepts from African dance, Butoh and Flamenco, incorporating methods to unlock emotion, musicality, fluidity and a strong relationship to the ground. One of her missions as a teacher and choreographer is to learn from other artists. With this goal, Angie started an exchange program between dancers from the United States and France. She has a BFA in Dance from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance. In 2020, she received the equivalent of the French Diplôme d'État in Ballet and Contemporary Dance. In the summer of 2025, she received her certification to the the Alishina method of Butoh in Paris.

Kristen trained and performed as a young professional with companies and schools in the midwest. She currently teaches classical ballet and character dance to students at the Green Bay School of Ballet. Passionate about sharing her love of ballet, artistry, and expression, Kristen is dedicated to helping dancers grow both technically and artistically. Since 2006, Kristen has worked with NEWDO as a performer and rehearsal mistress. She especially enjoys helping cast members bring the annual production of the Nutcracker at The Weidner to life. In addition to this work, she holds a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois and currently teaches 5th grade.
