Audition for the 2024 Nutcracker at the weidner
We can't wait to dance with you!!
We are looking for dancers from all studios of all ages and abilities to dance with our incredible cast of professional dancers and the live music of The Weidner Philharmonic.
The Nutcracker at The Weidner is a unique collaboration between NEWDO and The Weidner Philharmonic, offering a rare opportunity for ALL dancers in the Green Bay area to perform at a professional level.
Auditions will be held Saturday, September 7, or Sunday, September 8, at Green Bay School of Dance, 129 S Washington in Downtown Green Bay.
Rehearsals, which are crucial for our performance, will commence on Saturday, September 14. All rehearsals will be held over the weekends at Green Bay School of Dance.
Performances are November 26 (Act 2 only), 29, 30, and December 1 at The Weidner Center.

Because they always steal the show, we offer a discount to our youngest dancers cast as little angels and little mice. The fee is $175 now or $200 on the day of your audition. Please reach out to us at newdoartisticdirector@gmail.com if you have any question about which fee you should pay.

At age 14, she accepted an invitation to study full-time at the School of American Ballet under Kay Mazzo, Suki Schorer, and Susan Pilarre. She attended summer courses on full

In 2017, Joseph was awarded the two year male scholarship to attend the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. His favorite roles include Mercutio

Yuna Masson-Cariou joins us from Paris, France! In Paris, she studied at Terpsichore Paris, Académie Américaine de danse de Paris, and Académie de danse de Paris before moving to the US to study with the Ballet Chicago Studio Company and STEPS on Broadway.
Upon her return to France, she has danced professionally with the Académie de danse
Yuna Masson-Cariou joins us from Paris, France! In Paris, she studied at Terpsichore Paris, Académie Américaine de danse de Paris, and Académie de danse de Paris before moving to the US to study with the Ballet Chicago Studio Company and STEPS on Broadway.
Upon her return to France, she has danced professionally with the Académie de danse baroque de Versailles and Ravensquid Ballet compagnie with which she performed in Giselle and Paquita grand pas. She also performed at the Festival des Grandes heures de Cluny in Burgoyne.
Yuna has attended summer programs with Violette Verdy in Pont-l’abbé, France, the Princess Grace Academy intensive, Monaco, as well as the Ruth Page and the Joffrey Academy in Chicago.
Her repertoire includes ballets by Marius Petipa, George Balanchine, Ted Seymour, Daniel Duell, Dominique Atwood, Gregory Cianci and Christèle Venet.
In addition to her dancing, she is completing her masters degree in art history. She appears in The Nutcracker courtesy of Ravensquid Ballet Company, Paris, France

He currently teaches in many dance schools, including Paris Superior Con

He danced professionally for many years with many companies, including Le Ballet Classique de Paris, The Dutch National Ballet and Staatstheater Hannover. He currently teaches in many dance schools, including Paris Superior Conservatoire. In 2021, he became the Artistic Director and choreographer of RavenSquid Ballet Cie (Company) in Paris, France. Some of his favorite roles are Rothbart in Swan Lake, The Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty, Franz in Coppelia and Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet.

Lilly Meyer grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin where she began her dance training at the Green Bay School of Dance and Northeastern Wisconsin Dance Organization. She has attended summer and winter programs at Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts, Milwaukee Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Butler Ballet, Wylliams/Henry Contemporary Dance, and most recently, Carolina Ballet. Lilly is currently at the University of Missouri - Kansas City as a sophmore obtaining her B.F.A. in Dance. Lilly’s repertoire includes works from Timothy Joesphs, Angie Flanagan, Kristen Throne, Diane Danhieux, Gary Abbott, DeeAnna Hiett, Tempe Ostergren, Michael Blake and Christopher Huggins.

Bonnie grew up on the stage in Pella, Iowa, and went on to earn her degree in Education and Communications. From 1996-2009 she was the morning anchor/reporter for NBC26. After 25 years, she traded the TV studio for her true passion, the theater. Currently, Bonnie is a third grade teacher and drama director with Shiocton School District

After 25 years, she traded the TV studio for her true passion, the theater. Currently, Bonnie is a third grade teacher and drama director with Shiocton School District. For the last 10 years, she has been a director/instructor for the young actors summer program with Evergreen Theater, and has been involved for 25 years in community theater in Quincy, Illinois and Green Bay, WI. Her most memorable roles are Rose Mundy in “Dancing at Lughnasa”, M’Lynn in “Steel Magnolias” and Ellen in “Nightwatch”. This is Bonnie's second year with The Nutcracker at The Weidner.
